Welcome to our Congregation

Our Congregation, the Dominican Sisters of the Regina Rosarii, is a community of consecrated women called to be Salt of the Earth. The founding community, composed of Sister Mary Carmen C. Advincula, OP., Sister Mary Amelia F. Brasil, OP., Sister Mary Matthew F. Brasil, OP., Sister Mary Epifania F. Brasil, OP., Sister Mary Violeta P. Sobremisana, OP., and Sister Mary Sarah R. Ronda, OP., were former members of the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines.

They heard the call of the Spirit to start a new branch of the Dominican family where they can be contemplative witnesses, following Jesus, Friend of the Poor and Healer of the Broken. They responded to the call to live a consecrated life that is more contemplative and more trusting in God’s Providence

After twenty months of serious prayer and discernment, they formally asked to be released from their affiliation with the former congregation on May 5, 2005. They moved on with the blessings of their former Prioress General, Rev. Mo. Felicitas Macsera, OP. On the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, May 13, 2005, the founding community was blessed and accepted by Rev. Fr. Edmund Nantes, OP., Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines at Bahay Dominiko, Quezon City. Their first residence was at the Regina Rosarii Center for Contemplative Prayer, then located at 55 Scout Santiago St., Timog, Quezon City.
They were under the protection of the Most Rev. Fernando Capalla, DD., Archbishop of Davao and at that time President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) whose formal protection letter came on July 2, 2005.

Come and Visit Mary, Regina Rosarii, Our Lady in the City

Unveiled on the feast of visitation, May 31, 2006, Mary, Regina Rosarii, Our Lady in the City is a thirty-foot statue made of fiber glass and shaped by the hands of Jojo Barcena, Jr, renowned artist and builder of several Marian shrines such as the Regina Rosarii shrines in Tagum City and Tagaytay City.

Located on the fifth floor the D’Regina at 70 Scout Fernandez, Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City, the rotating statue serves as the centerpiece of a rooftop

meditation garden. This worship site is considered as the gift of Mama Mary to the Regina Rosarii community on the occasion of its first anniversary of its foundation. It is also our offering to the Quezon City, an urban community that needs a constant reminder of a mother’s love for her Son, and the Father’s love for humanity.

The meditation garden is open for personal visits and prayer 4:00 – 6:30 PM everyday. For group visits and pilgrimages, please call D’Regina at 372-53-27 or 09192694286 or email us at info@reginarosarii.org

PROJECT SACREDspace
The whole world is a SACREDspace. Creation is filled with the goodness of God. Every stone, every flower, every raindrop reminds us of the divine. That is our belief. This is our mission. To help people recognize that God is found everywhere, and every time we seek Him.

The project SACREDspace is a flagship program that was born during the Founding Chapter of the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii. It aims to utilize modern media of communications to bring the gift of contemplative life to the world.

At present, project SACREDspace has the following operational components:

SACREDspace on the Air : a radio program aired over Radio Veritas 846 AM Band has a new time slot and it is now every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 in the evening.
The program features Sunday psalm and Sounds and follows the usual format of a contemplative prayer practiced and promoted by the Regina Rosarii community.

Rosarii community. Soon, we hope to launch Sunday Psalms and Sounds, a short meditation program for FM listeners.

SACREDspace magazine: is a monthly magazine that promotes a contemplative lifestyle. This forty-page magazine in full color follows the flow that a lay contemplative goes through when he or she joins a session at the Regina Rosarii Center for Contemplative Prayer.

SACREDspace CD: is a collection of short sacred songs composed by Sr. Eppie Brasil, OP. The CD contains the songs SACREDspace, the Labyrinth Walk, You are Precious and the Prayer for Healing. Part of the Healing Sounds and Scents collection, this CD is a valuable tool to help busy people enter into silence and solitude.

SACREDspace online: is our website www.reginarosarii.org . This is our way of connecting and communicating with the netizens, the regular community who live in he virtual world of the internet. Through this website, we hope to attract young people to be lay contemplatives today.

SACREDspace text message: through the Reginarosa text service, this offers contemplative messages daily to nourish the spirit of a cellphone user, most probably trapped in a busy lifestyle.

In the future, the project wants to explore new media of communication such as digital videos, podcasting, and more.
